Heat exchange media is a ceramic material called honeycomb that is located at the inlet and exhaust of a combustion chamber of an RTO. The purpose of heat exchange media is to collect the heat leaving the combustion chamber and transfer the stored heat to the combustion chamber when the flow is reversed.

Honeycomb ceramic units are typically used in many kinds of heaters and furnaces, and widely used in the industries of petrochemical, pharmaceutical, chemical, electric manufacturing, automobile and machinery manufacturing, metallurgical, paint, printing, paper, wood processing and others who needs to dispose exhaust gas.
